Trans Day of Visibility Town Hall

Be sure to join us this Wednesday for our virtual event, “What’s At Stake for Trans Communities?” at 7pm CST.

MARCH 30 / 7pm CST

REGISTRATION through Eventbrite is required to attend.

Free for all and asking donations for those able.

This online event, leading up to National Trans Day of Visibility, brings together critical thought leaders and grassroots organizers in the movement together. We will be diving into the conversations surrounding anti-trans legislation directed at transgender youth in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas.

We’ll center voices from women of color of trans experience to also discuss how this legislation affects trans youth of color, how the dominant narratives are impacted by race, class, and resource access, and how these “hot topic” issues are connected to the epidemic of violence to trans women of color in our states and regions.

Diamond Stylz, Executive Director, Black Trans Women Inc. (Texas)

Jordan Burns, Vice President, Youth 4 Change KC (Missouri & Kansas)

Merrique Jenson, Founder & Executive Director, Transformations (Missouri, Kansas & NW Arkansas)

Be sure to follow these amazing organizations and leaders doing the work, on the ground, in your communities.
